NewsAs we are only just starting out we do not yet have any news to tell as of yet. However we do have some information to give you and we are hoping for some replies. John Grooms and the Shaftesbury Society are hoping to launch a campaign to raise awareness of young people aged 30 and under with disability living in old people's homes. Many of these people do not have choice in this and therefore are not very happy. Studies have been carried and suggest that nationally this figure is 9 000 people whereas others suggest the actual figure is around 24 000 people. From the information we have been told the government has not done any research into this problem, the reasons for which can only be assumed by anyone. In order for Grooms-Shaftesbury to be able to launch their campaign they need to hear from real people living in an old people's home or know of someone in this situation. Without this information the campaign will not be successful. This London based charity would like to talk to you about this, however we realise that you may wish to remain anonymous in which case a first name, age and location would be enough to help put a pattern of figures together and no further contact will be made. Should you wish to help with this campaign then please send us an email with the subject title awareness campaign to our email and your comments and details will be passed on. Please state in this email if you wish to be contacted by Grooms-Shaftesbury or not. The email address to send this information to is or charity email sarahs_dream@hotmail.co.uk We want to help John Grooms and the Shaftesbury Society with this campaign so any information received is very much appreciated.

This will include walking along sections of the wall and staying in hostels. We are waiting for interested parties to get in touch before e find out any firm information. This being because we don't want to start making arrangements only to find out that no one wants to go. If you are interested and would like to know more information email us with the Subject title Hadrian's Wall.
